Rudolf Buchbinder, one of the greatest Beethoven interpreters of our time. This recording project of the 5 Beethoven Piano Concertos was a long-cherished dream for him. 5 Conductors he worked with very closely over the last decades and “their” orchestras play with him one of the famous Piano Concertos of Ludwig van Beethoven live in the Musikverein Wien. With all the participants Rudolf Buchbinder had a long musical partnership and friendship. 4 of the concertos of this cycle could happen in Vienna. One of the, the concerto with Staatskapelle Dresden and Christian Thielemann had to be recorded in Dresden.
